All links for my Sunday post

Happy Sunday!
Rather than give you one or two thoughts, I’ve gone through the newsletter folder of my inbox and have a link-a-palooza for this beautiful Sunday in Northeastern Wisconsin:
- I bookmarked this article a few months ago and forgot to post it! It is from Insight magazine and talks about our wind sector here in the Fox Valley. I was reminded of it when I was in Madison a few weeks ago at the Wisconsin Business Council’s Economic Symposium.
- Because some new ideas are always good, Sales Tips for a Tough Economy
- From The Wall Street Journal Online, So You Want to be an Entrepreneur
- If after reading the above article, you think you still want to be a business owner, but aren’t sure what the business should BE – you can go to this website and sign up for a e-update of THIS WEEKS MOST CREATIVE NEW BUSINESS IDEAS.
- And, if you are curious as to local economic activity - YourEconomy.org is an interactive resource center that allows users to explore economic activity in their own communities — and across the country. YourEconomy provides detailed information about the performance of businesses from a national to a local perspective.
- An article reminding us that Business Opportunities Abound, Even in Bad Times
- A different way of looking at economic development: The Wise Economy from Della Rucker’s blog
- American Express’ Open site has an interesting article reinforcing the need for a business plan. How and Why a Business Plan Can Make a Difference
- Job loss is difficult to say the list; which makes this survey’s results of 4 of 10 Americans saying that losing their job was a blessing!
- And, more in the vein of responding to being laid off: Reinventing Yourself: The Ultimate Balancing Act
- We can almost all use this article, unless self-employed of course! How to Manage Your Boss
- As we get ready for next year as the beginning of the Highway 41 expansion project from Scheuring Road in De Pere to Lineville Road in Howard/Suamico (with a side helping of the construction of a 2-lane roundabout at 8th and Ashland), this article on the importance of dollars invested into infrastructure projects will hopefully remind us why the pain will be worth it!!
- Another reminder of why blood is thicker than water, or Resilient in Hard Times – The Family Business
- Do you have a contingency plan for your business? Here at the Michigan Main Street Center’s site is an article Contingency Planning: It’s Not Just For Other People
Have a great Sunday!!

look good

THANKS for the link to my blog!! Don’t know if you know this, but I spent most of the 90s in Green Bay — a lot of my ideas about economic development and planning began to take shape thanks to DePere and Green Bay. Oh, and I bought my first lizard in De Pere, too…

You are welcome – it was great information and I was very happy to share it.
I had NO idea you were from the area! What a coincidence.
